I need an idea for my english class's essay topic.
We're supposed to compare the media. Taking one topic and using two sources (either 2 magazines, 2 newspaper articles, 2 movies, etc..) and compare the logos, ethos, and pathos of both sides. I wanna do something creative, but I can't think of anything. All that's on the news right now is the Foley case, but that doesn't interest me, and I need something that's interesting so I can stretch it into five pages. Any ideas for a recent topic that's in the news right now?
Example:
Some guy is doing it on myspace and he's using an article from MSNBC, and then an article from a teen magazine. Two different audiences, two different perspectives.
Answers:
1What about the "bilateral" extradition treaty between the US and Uk? It's a hot topic in England, because it's seen as unfair and biased. You could see if anyone in the US is even writing about it.
